Beni maiko brashly breaks winters dormancy in knock-out reddish pink. Small palmate leaves dance an exuberent jig on spring breezes, earning this cultivar the name "red haired dancing girl". She changes costume to apple-green with red accents for summer and again to a mix of reds and soft oranges for fall.
